    Scanner on Epson NX420

I have an Epson Stylus NX420 Printer Scanner combo that I'm trying to get installed on my system. Specifically, I'm trying to get the scanner working right now. I have it all hooked up through usb, and my computer seems to recognize the device (It says "Installing New Printer" or something like that in the corner when I plug it in). It even seems to notice there is a scanner onboard. When I run Skanline, Simple Scanner, or XSane Image Scanner they seem to recognize the device, and when I go to scan everything works.

For about 2 seconds. Then all the lights flash on the Epson, and I get a Device I/O error from the application. I've tried rooting around the internet some, but no luck. I'm hoping someone here might be of some help.

    Thanks in advance.

And oh yes, as requested by the READ FIRST post

    Hi...

I'm not sure if it applies or if it will help but you can try the solution posted here.

EDIT: In case it's a bit difficult to find the appropriate driver, try this page. However, you should still read the directions provided in the first link.

    Regards...
