I met anyone once, and found that anyone was also related to everybody and everybody knows somebody, but they may not like a busybody. Everybody, I learned, was related to who was that....oh yeah, the first guy that came along. But he always came in second so nobody wanted to be around him much except maybe a third of the time. But then all that came up short when somebody, who was playing pickup ball with some hard bodies, hit a line fly and knocked the the third fellow smack in the back as he was "going long" and he slid down the wet steps at Niagara falls and then somebody hit him on the head with a rolled up newspaper that had a front page article about his divorce. And that was odd because nobody read it.

But later, to warm up after a wet day, everybody agreed, while sitting at the Koffeehouze that DYK is loved by.... everybody and ANYbody! Expecially when somebody picks up the tip!

I mentioned ardvark and woodsmoke 'cause they were the only ones who kept givin' me advise on how to solve the problem even I after I solved it. Obviously DoYouKubuntu is my favourite, he has a grandmother working with kubuntu!

Would anyone like to make the obvious correction for me? (And I don't mean that it's my mother, not grandmother, using Kubuntu but--you know--that pronoun thing. )

            Hi DYK...

You need to make it more obvious.

Ummm....just to avoid any possible misunderstandings, I was referring to perhaps adding some words to DYK's signature like, "A female Linux user since 1991," or something like that. I remember her last avatar that included an outline of the State of California in pink.

Don't worry ardvark71, the subtle undertones are directed to parillo who misidentified DYK as a male.

ardvark, you're worrying too much! Like in that thread on the KFN suggestions board. It's all good.

Then, in fairness, we guys should adopt a similar signature, except to state that we're men, right?

The broader issue here is that to assume a forum member is male until that member identifies otherwise is probably not the best stance for any of us to take. Oh, if only the language had a gender-neutral pronoun!
