How do you edit your splash screen?

I've found the desktop and windows as well as the log on screen very manipulatable however I have found no way of changing the splash screen. When I used pclinuxos it was very easy to change. Does anyone know how to achieve this?

system settings-> workspace appearance-> splash screen
