Oxygen Theme not working as user!

Already tried this in the Ubuntu forums, but nobody could help me there. Maybe I'll be more lucky here :-/.

I just upgraded to Kubuntu 11.10 and my oxygen widget theme widget is not working as normal user. It does work though when i start programs as root. I even get the Oxygen tickboxes in Firefox.

I already renamed the .kde directory in my /home and logged in again. No effect. If you need any further information please tell me!

Please test via new user, run the below command:

sudo adduser test

set the unix password (eg. test) and leave other entry as default. Login to see if it works with the user: test.

Thanks a lot! I got it working now. I created a new user and it was working with it. I then compared the most obvious files and found the one that caused the problem. I copied the one from the new user and that's it! (.config/Trolltech.conf)

Sounds like the permissions on and/or ownership of Trolltech.conf might have changed?
