Adding Celtx to Kickoff Application Launcher

I am trying to launch Celtx from Kickoff Application Launcher, but it doesn't launch.

The tar was extracted Celtx to /usr/local. A menu entry was added to Kickoff launcher using Command: /usr/local/celtx/celtx , but I can't get the application to launch from the menu. It launches just fine from terminal using sudo /usr/local/celtx/celtx.

    What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the reply. I changed permission on the celtx file to myself, hoping that would help - it was set to root to start - Didn't help. Here is the output:

Re: Adding Celtx to Kickoff Application Launcher

is this a GUI app or comand line ?

if it's a GUI app you should start it with kdesudo and not sudo .....you can try adding the kdesudo to the menu entry and tick the "enable launch feedback" box ....(this may even prompt for password)........and try just to see what happens launching it from the run dialog box "alt>F2 and type in kdesudo celtx "

          Thanks vinnywright.

That works... kdesu /usr/local/celtx/celtx in the menu command works, but of course I get the pop-up asking for my password. Anyway to bypass that so I don't have to input my password?

Re: Adding Celtx to Kickoff Application Launcher

not if it kneads root privileges to work right ............IDK I dont use it ........but if not you can change everything in the /celtx DIR to you/you instead of root/root .......including the celtx DIR.
