Hi guys,
here's my problem, which I haven't been able to find in this forum:
--> mainly Windows user
--> installed Kubuntu Oneiric --> yay!
--> installed AWN (am used to it from UDE pre-Unity) using the muon program manager (that might have been a bit simplistic...)
--> restart
--> KDE gone, Unity pasted all over the place
--> naively done the following:
--> I have since learned that logging off and on again, choosing the kde session should circumvent the problem. How do I do this, starting in a crippled unity?
Thanks in advance,
Tom TomTom

- uninstalled all unity-related packages
- restarted
- ended up with blue unity-based desktop background. can access folders, that's about it. Alt+F2 doesn't twitch, nor does anything else I know.
