    Can't run kubuntu anymore :(

Hey everyone im having a problem , I Can't Run or use my kubuntu anymore.

It all started when i used this command to fix my localhost :

    sudo apt-get install tasksel
    sudo tasksel

Well i Pressed ctrl+esc too , I was just testing then i clicked on my taskbar and it got closed :O then when i clicked on my desktop it got closed too

    Weird Ain't it ?

Before all these , there was a setup process, that asked me to enter the root password, I entered the password but it was not working either

i pressed alt+delete but it didn't close, so i just restarted with my laptop power button.

Since then i can't run my kubuntu

        ...Try...

Can you move the Boot preference down to the "Rescue" version? Will it Boot to CLI prompt? If so, first try the command: fsck . Reboot. Does it work? If it doesn't, second, try the command: sudo apt-get remove tasksel . Reboot. Does it work?

            http://wiki.debian.org/tasksel

It looks like you hit a bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...el/+bug/574287
            TEST CASE
            1. Boot Lucid LiveCD
            2. run "sudo tasksel" and select "virtual machine host"
            3. run "sudo tasksel" and deselect "virtual machine host"
            4. watch how tasksel uninstalls your system

            OBSERVATIONS
What seems to happen is that apt vengefully removes ALL of the items associated with one task, including several base dependencies of other tasks (e.g. ubuntu-desktop)
As of October 28, 2011, a solution is "still in progress".

Since it works well as a task installer perhaps you could do:
            Code:
sudo tasksel -t install kde desktop
Otherwsie, it looks like the easiest thing to do is reinstall with the latest Kubuntu.
