I have Kubuntu 11.10 and I was expecting the taskbar to resemble Windows. At least the location to be on the bottom. How do I get that kind of look?

Re: Taskbar configuration
If you have a netbook kubuntu will load the netbook interface(2nd picture posted by steve) as default.
To use the normal desktop
Goto System Settings > Workspace behavior > Workspace
In here select Workspace type as desktopLoka samastha sukhino bhavanthu

Re: Taskbar configuration
Hi Bonjin and welcome to a very friendly forum! Don't be a stranger!
If you only want to move the panel right click on it and you will see a dialogue box which has "panel options".
Right click on it and you will see "panel settings".
You will then see "another" panel sitting above/below the "panel" with some options but if you move the cursor to it it becomes a big "four pointed star" (for me at least) if you move the cursor to a button named "screen edge".
You can then left click and drag the panel to top/bottom/side.
KDE give you a WEALTH of ways to play with the panel/desktop, you name it and you really can "have it the way you want".
