Right clicking desktop has no effect

Hi there

I deleted several files from the taskbar. And now I am unable to configure the desktop at all. There is no response with right click, no wall paper. How do I restore to previous configuration?

Probably you need to reinstall plasma-desktop, as OneLine says.

HOWEVER, note that you have different configuration options when you have widgets UNLOCKED, vs. when widgets are LOCKED. For example, with widgets locked you cannot delete panel icons.

for some reason, it may have been updates last night, don't know, I lost the ability to right click and save as with the "Just Another Day" wallpaper in another thread.

I used the two commands alone in terminal:

(ps it looks kinda scary)

kquitapp plasma-desktop

Then

plasma-desktop

And I now can right click and save as an image.
