How do I transfer my settings?

I have been using kubuntu on a VMware VM for several days now and have made many customizations.
Now that I have installed kubuntu to a physical machine how do I transfer all (or some) of my settings to the new machine? Can I just copy everything from my old /home directory?

Hi,

I would try to do the same... But maybe before copy the /home of the newly installed machine before to replace it.
