How to Install Fonts for Gimp

Hello All,

I have a number of specialty fonts I'd like to use with Gimp. Some of these are TrueType fonts and some are not. I've poked around but cannot find much on this topic.

Please pardon if this is the wrong forum for this question.

Open the Gimp Preferences dialog.

Browse down to the Fonts category. Make note of the path in the Folder pane.

Quit Gimp completely.

Move or copy the font files into the folder you noted above.

Launch Gimp anew and enjoy your new fonts. As a test, I downloaded the 2Peas Heart's Delight true type font and unzipped it into into the ~/.gimp-2.4/fonts/ directory.
