Only white screen while using live cd and wubi says :windows backend object has

My PC is notorious for linux. I tried 7 different linux and only UBUNTU was installed. I tried to use Kubuntu, but after selecting the live option only a white screen and blinking cursor comes and stands (usb boot). When I tried to use wubi, it says:
"windows backend object has no attribute iso_path"
I CHECKED MD5SUM AND BOOTED WITH THE HELP OF "UNIVERSAL USB INSTALLER".
Its the latest Kubuntu (2011 october). How do I get it to work?

Did you finished the download of the iso properly?
The best, and easiest way to check this, is look at the wubi.exe's icon in my computer in Windows.
if no icon (only the white square), you should start again the download. I recommend the torrent. Downloading Kubuntu with torrent is legal.
Or try to install in Windows. If you do the install in Windows, not all the features will be avaliable.
Or try the CD install.
