Hello,
I have an old Navilink BGT-11 hand held GPS receiver. I have used it a bit for the OpenStreetMap mapping project. I want to use gpsbabel.
I last used it a year or so ago.
Now, I am having great trouble connecting my KUbuntu system to it.
I understand that I will need to
modprobe usbserial
and that then plugging and unplugging the device and cable should cause messages to appear in
/var/log/syslog
This is not happening. Nothing appears in syslog.
Can anyone suggest anything I can try.
I have just upgraded to
3.0.0-12-generic #20-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 7 14:56:25 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
