Crash on System Settings Launcher (touchpad)

On my Acer laptop with Kubuntu 11.04, everytime I open the system settings >input devices>Touchpad, it crashes (that is, the system settings app closes, and offers me to file a bug report, which says I don't give enough info, when really I give all I have) ... I've seen bug solutions,etc. but to no avail... any workaround suggestions?
