creating Restore point in Kubuntu 11.04

    Hi All,

I'm using kubuntu 11.04 on my desktop and have installed couple guest os with oracle installed to do some R&D ...

Since i'm making many changes in the OS ...something may go wrong during that...

So i need to create a restore point when everything is fine and have to restore my os to that state if something goes wrong in the progress of the R&D ...

Please help me if this can be achieved and how..

    Thanks
    Bala

Best idea I can think of is to back up your entire partition image and restore. As far as I know, Kubuntu doesn't create restore points like Windows does.

you can open your package manager and do a search for "backup" and get lot's of choices ...........I've never used any of them so I cant comment on what may be good or not.

but some hear do and will probably comment on them soon

Look into k-diff - it supports rollbacks and more.
