ndiswrapper install problem

Right i am having a problem i am trying to install my wireless card at the moment it is a mentor wlg-pcm/II so i have downloaded the mrv8000c driver but i am getting trouble installing ndiswrapper i have been trying to use the make and make install but it keeps saying that the command not found i think it has something to do with the package not loaded(read this on another site) but how am i supposed to load this package on or how do i get it should it not have been loaded on when i loaded the system on from the cd

Don't try to install ndiswrapper from the command line.

Do you have Synaptic Package Manager?

Do a search from Synaptic for ndiswrapper and install it through there.

If you must use the command line try:
sudo apt-get install ndiswrapper-utils
