    Sorry ,there are some problem in my question,my english is weak...
    I mean I have downloaded a livecd image on my hard disk,I want to edit my exist boot menu,
    I try boot like this:
    root (hd0,2)
    kernel /vmlinuz iso-scan/filename=/kubuntu-XXXXXX.iso boot=casper
    initrd /initrd.lz
    boot

    It doesn't work ...
    I think maybe I can edit boot menu using livecd/liveusb mode ...

        thank you very much,i check the website and i try the boot menu what i have post again....it works....
        it seems mount the partition as /isodevice..well,another problem...when i install the linux,it always says "can't umount /isodevice "....
