Youtube videos super slow/choppy in full screen

I've done some poking around to see if I can get youtube working right full screen. I got the Flash-Aid plug in, which installed the beta version of Flash. This made watching flash videos in regular screen possible. However, when I attempt to go full screen: super slow and choppy.

I tried it with disabled desktop effects (something I read on the Ubuntu forums) but that had no effect.

    Any ideas?

Play any video on youtube, right mouse click on it and choose "settings" and uncheck "enable hardware acceleration". Maybe you will need to restart your browser for the change to take effect.

    I hope this helps 8)

I had the same problem. What solved it for me was to install both kubuntu and ubuntu restricted extras. Presto! Flash worked like a charm. Hope that helps.
