Re: Multifunction laser printer
Hi,
My printer (Epson DX6050) does not work fully either. My suggestion would be to start with the printer manufacturers' websites and see who has drivers for (K)Ubuntu and then find the printer you like from there.
Zeb...
To understand true frustration, one must only go so far as to install Linux!!! and then came Kubuntu and the World is at peace again

Re: Multifunction laser printer
Hi...
You can also view a list of supported printers here.
UPDATE: Your specific printer is listed here at the site I listed above. It gives a two-penguin "Mostly" rating which means that the printer should work quite well despite possible minor quirks. Just to make sure, please go into your package manager and make sure the "HPIJS" and "HPLIP" drivers are installed. If they are, please tell us what you have tried doing so far in getting this printer to work.

It is also interesting that Cannon doesn't have any linux drivers in their US site, but they do on their UK site...

Re: Multifunction laser printer
My HP OfficeJet 5610 All-in-one works well but drinks ink like a drunken sailor. I burned through the original color cartridges trying to make adjustments to print a photo from a jpg file. Never got it good enough, but scanning, copying and printing work well."A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.”
