SOLVED: Installing Kubuntu 11.04 alongside Ubuntu 10.10

Hi there
I'm happily using Ubuntu 10.10 but it's a bit dull and would love to return to KDE and try Kubuntu 11.04...
Is this feasible and can I just download via the command line?

Assuming you have the space available on your HDD, sure. Setup the additional partitions - two recommended; one for root ( / ) and one for user home ( /home ).

Plenty of guides on how to do this. What you are contemplating is a dual-boot system.

After upgrading to Gnome 11.04 and having issues with Ubiquity I decided to sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
I then decided to dump Gnome completely and ended up mashing KDE
I have raised a new thread for that
