    System load

Hello i installed kubuntu on my ntb 2 days ago. THE NTB IS hp 6735s with
Hd 3200 and amd ql-60 proccesor

I also checked for available drivers and instaled the HD3200 and wireless.

I noticed system load so checked system monitor, even though it shows cpu high load e.g 80-100 % the procesess listed dont have that consumption. for example no other procceses runing but still it jumps up to 40+% load :P

Can someone tell me what causes this phantom load? Are there any processes which arent listed in system monitor? Its annoying that the average load is in 30% without other peograms running.

    Thanks for every advice.

Out of curiosity, are you sure that you're viewing all processes?

In the top right-hand corner of the System Activity window is a drop-down box for filtering the list.
Make sure it's set to "All Processes" and sort the list by "CPU%"

If you were having a video driver problem, you should see the kwin process eating CPU.

Just a thought, maybe you already tried this... but all system load and processes should be listed in System Activity as far as I know.

    Cheers
