need help badly

i installed the latest kubuntu on my computer trying to get wine but every time i go to wine hq and do what it says it wont find it. the only thing i get under wine is libdscaler. what do i need to do please help i need it

Have you tried installing the wine version from the repositories?
Enable your universe repository (see this on how to do that)
Then look for wine.

However, the default Wine version in Ubuntu is 0.9.9 I think, while the current is 0.9.17.

ive tried all that ive listed niverse in every single repositories and still no wine

could you please post the contents of /etc/apt/sources.list file?

Let's get you a fresh sources.list:
http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/sources

Then try this:

sudo aptitude update
sudo aptitude install wine
