down/uploads monitor

Hi,
My Laptop is set up on kubuntu, I am sharing internet wireless connection with a flatmate and I want to install a small program which would tell me how much download/uploads is being made per month on my computer only so we know how to share the bill.

I've researched a bit but don't quite understand a lot of the language so couldn't find anything.

I found KNemo and KNetStats. Maybe one of them can suit your needs.
