new kubuntu install, system\version updates

im walkin my friend through a fresh and first time linux install. i did mine awhile back, and i cant remember.

where the hell do you check the box so that your software updates also include version updates for kubunutu itself? i know mines done because i update from 8 or so... but i cant remember, nor find, this box.

In 10.10, go to System Settings >> Software Management (or open KPackageKit), go o Settings >> Edit Origins, and look in the Updates tab
