Hi has anyone else had problems with their speakers not working? I noticed it when I was trying to watch a youtube video. The sound will not work in amarok as well. When I plug my headphones in they will work though. I did a search and found some people had a bug, but wasn't sure if that was my problem since the headphones worked thanks in advance for the help. Running an Asus eee pc 1215N with a 1.8Ghz dualcore atom 2gb rab 250gb hd and 10.10 kubuntu. Also i dual boot Win7 and it uses Realtek Hd audio if that helps. Thanks again.

Re: Need some sound advice.
I had some issues with Amarok when I first got 10.10, and I posted a question about how to make Amarok work. Perhaps this could help you some:

look in kmix .....click he speaker icon in the system tray then click mixer then settings then configure channels .
make sure you have master and PCM and eney others that look pertinent dragged into the side marked visible and their up.
if you don't see them their open a terminal and check withCode:alsamixer

Re: Need some sound advice.
Thanks Vinny, I also looked in the channel settings and there were no options there, but if I can the command in the terminal I could see what you were talking about. How do I get those channel options into Kmix? Its weird when I was going through the grub install fix for my laptop I had to boot from a usb and the sound worked then.Asus eee pc 1215n Intel atom d525 1.8 GHz, 2 gb ram, intel integrated and nvidia ion discrete graphics, kubuntu 10.10.
