    Installation help

    Every time i try and download outside things i get to the point where i have the documents/programs downloaded and on Ark but i have no idea to get it so that i can actually use the thing. a prime example is songbird. I have no idea what to do after it's in Ark. Does it involve the command prompt? Any info is helpful

    (And, Welcome to KFN.)

    It should be noted, that Songbird dropped support for Linux this April.
    Windows no longer obstructs my view.

      Most of the apps are downloaded and installed automatically from Repository using a Package Manager. They are usually not downloaded and uncompressed or compiled.
