    downgrade from kde 4.5.85(4.6 beta 2) back to 4.5.1 possible?

    ok!well yet again i need your help kubuntu fellas!
    well wikipedia reports that kde 4.5.4 is the latest stable kde release so i wanted to install it! i entered the following in terminal:

    $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/beta

    $ sudo apt-get update

    $ sudo apt-get install dist-upgrade

    like the link here says : http://www.kubuntu.org/news/kde-sc-454

    the thing is that the last command (sudo apt-get install dist-upgrade) upgraded me to 4.6 beta 2(oohhpss!! )
    so is it possible to revert back to 4.5.1 or even 4.5.4 Because 4.6 beta 2 is still too beta for me.
    Thanks in advance!

    Take a look at the package ppa-purge. It's in the respositories.
    PPA-PURGE:
    ppa-purge will reset all packages from a PPA to the standard versions released for your distribution. So basically its like a way to restore your system back to the way it was before you installed packages from a PPA.

      I've had mixed results with ppa-purge but it's certainly better than reinstalling - at least most of the time

      Interesting it's in universe now - I think I originally got it from kubuntu-ppa or x-swat.
