    Re: Kopete, KMail, Amarok[SOLVED], and application[SOLVED] questions/issues

Quick update, I figured out the application thing I was talking about. To those that might not know, this is what I did:

Search and Launch--->System Settings--->Desktop Effects--->And in the section called "Compositing State" I enabled the Desktop effects.

I haven't gotten the KMail to work, I think its because Yahoo! makes you pay for POP services now.

I haven't gotten the Kopete to work with Yahoo! texting either. If someone knows/could direct me to the answer of this, that would be much appreciated.

Thanks again for all of you that have been helping me.

This is perplexing. I get my Yahoo mail with POP and I don't have a paid account. At one time I had a paid account which I discontinued. Somehow Yahoo still lets me get my mail via POP. But just to check, I just opened my wife's Yahoo mail and checked to see if I could set it up for POP. It would not let me unless I upgraded to Mail Plus, the paid account.

That is very strange indeed...perhaps it could be a once paid, it'll stay? I don't want to do any weird back routes or anything, I know its possible, but I don't want to deal with it >.<

Though do you have any information on my Kopete issue? Or is it just not compatable?

I don't use Kopete, or any other instant messaging, so I can't help you there.

Alright, thanks anyhow. Do you use Rekonq? Because I've had it crash several times with me, and theres apparently not enough information to send a bug report :/

No, as a matter of fact I don't even use KDE.

Oh well that throws a monkey wrench in things, hahah. I like KDE, just am very new to it.
