Cant get YouTube to work in Firefox

Audio is OK, but video is blank screen.

I've tried everything (I think). Even all the stuff in here:

I think it started when I went to 10.10

YouTube does play in VLC player.

Somehow I gotta fix this.

Have you installed: kubuntu-restricted-extras ?

Did you know that YouTube now supports the html5 built in viewer? Not all of the videos are compliant yet but many are. Go here to enter the html5 trial. Don't be fooled by the "trial" tag. It works fine in Firefox and in Chrome and chromium.

Sorry, I thought you wanted to play YouTube videos. I offered a simple solution, one that works better than flash.

I don't know if this will work. Install medibuntu repostories. If you did an upgrade from 10.04 try purging adobe flash plugin
then delete /home/your-login/.adobe/flash-player folder and also the .macromedia folder then install adobe flash plugin
