Welcome to Kubuntu! If you are new to Linux then expect things to be a little different to your our old operating system. Things take a little time to learn so be patient. I'm sure when you look back at your first toe dipping experiences of using a computer it took a little while until you started to feel confident. Believe me if only you'd learnt Linux then.... in so many ways it's easier.... you just need to think differently; and believe me you'll get there

Anyway enough of that... the best way to explore kde's powerful setups is to goto settings (in the menu), then goto system settings. From here you can control the entire kde desktop, including fonts (Application appearance/ fonts). Then once sorted to your satisfaction, play to your hearts content with all the powerful configurations that fellow kde users love.

You can also just click on the Kde menu icon and type "fonts" in the search box. It should be pretty clear from that point on.

also do note your font changes(like most other things) will be in a peruser setting.
