Im running kubuntu 10.10 with KDE4

not a very important question but....
having changed the theme using the workspace appearance GUI thingy....the bottom menu has changed but nothing else.....i then change the window decoration but it only changes the edgs of the window with the minimize/minimize button etc...the centre is still the default solid grey and all the buttons/menus are the default..........i cant find an option anywhere to alter the actual window itself, what am i missing?
