    it's my first time that I want install linux
    I don't know where is K and ...
    if you can give me some slides to make it easier for me to find it :X

      At the lower left corner in the default Kubuntu desktop, is a large letter "K". In this image, the user has clicked on the K and now sees the menu. Your Kubuntu menu will look a little different than this one, but the "K" is in the same place -- lower left corner.

            My problem solved
            I do not know what is Kate but when I tried to install my driver it opened with Kate and I changed it to additional driver and everything got fine
