I'm running Kubuntu Jaunty Jackalope on an Acer .m5640. I want to upgrade to lucid lynx. I have tried pressing the upgrade button for 9.10 before but when it reboots it just brings the command prompt. I am confused.

Did it appear to be downloading and installing files before it reboots?
If so, then it is possible that the video driver is not configured by Upstart. What's your video chip?
