Microsoft netbook bluetooth 5000 mouse+Kubuntu

Hey guys as the title suggests, I have the aforementioned mouse and I am trying desperately to get it working under Kubuntu.
I originally had it working fine in Win7, but win7 install died after lending my Laptop out - so I decided to give Kubuntu a go instead of a re-install of Windows.
Anyway everytime I try to pair the device it asks for a password - something the mouse has never had?!
Is there someway to disable it asking for the password so that I can set up the mouse?

I really don't want to have to buy a new mouse

fwiw: I installed Kubuntu with the option as a 'complete' install as the only OS from the live DVD. (ie: overwriting what was left of the win7 install)

Should I reformat completely (what program should I use?) and try a fresh install of Kubuntu?

Hi...

The password should be what you entered when you first installed Kubuntu, I would think. Is KWalletManager the program asking for the password?

How your Windows 7 install ended up damaged or unusable after getting your system back might be interesting to hear...possibly.

Also, is this the mouse in question?

Laptop suffered a drop. Wouldn't post the win7 splash screen. After several attempts to repair it ended up showing: PXE-E61 (ie: attempting to boot of a network) Disable the network in the BIOS boot menu and the laptop wouldn't do a thing - couldn't recognise the HDD whatsoever.

It is BlueDevil requesting the pin. Can't use the password from login as it has to be numeric....

The default bluetooth passkey is usually set to 0000
