hello all!
I have been trying to set the VLC as an option in the device notifier when I insert an audio cd but to no success. I made it work for the dvd, but not for audio cds. The information that helped me so far was from these topics:
http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...0474#msg180474
http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...7946#msg177946
The first link refers to the audio cds and the second link to dvds.
I didn't insert those lines in any file, but I sort of copied the entries in the Device Actions - System Settings interface when I made the new entries. The one with the dvd works ok, but with the audiocd no luck.
I attached the relative screenshots about the audio cd settings. If you have any ideas let me know what other information I can supply so we can work this out
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: SOLVED IT!!! It was actually a very silly detail. Notice in the second screenshot that the last field is "audiocd". Before that I had entered "audio". Neither worked. Then I compared with the k3b fields which works and had "Audio" in the relevant field. So in the VLC action I replaced "audiocd" with "Audio" and it works fine now Yes the capital A made the diffrence...
