    Desktop Folder

I accidentally removed my Desktop Folder (by hitting the X)...How would i bring it back again?
    Thanks

I don't mean the folder in Dolphin File Manager, i am referring to what you see when you boot up....that large square in the upper left hand side of the desktop wallpaper...I thought maybe it was considered a widget but i don't see it on the list...
Is there a way to put it back on there?

It is a widget, look for the Folder View.

Thanks...i found it...i see that you can set it to desktop folder instead of home (like it is defaulted to)....
that brought it back as it was when i first installed...

I was using that box to place some application short cuts in...but i notice that even when you put some short cuts in it, it still says "folder is empty" in the middle...i don't suppose there is a way to erase that is there?

I'm a bit of a newbie to kde...i was mostly a gnome person until i got "hooked on kde" when i installed mint 9 kde...and now i have just moved over to Kubuntu 10.10 as i was very impressed when i ran the live cd of it...i really love it, but as i said, a bit "wet behind the ears" sometimes about making certain adjustments like this...

I can't replicate that problem with the "folder is empty" in the middle. It dissapears as soon as anything is in the folder for me.

If you want an application launcher maybe add the Quicklaunch widget to the desktop. Resize it then right click on it and choose add launcer. I think it may be a better solution then adding shortcuts in a folder.
