Has anyone tried the new Rekonq web browser in Kubuntu 10.10?
If you did..what is your impressions...good? bad? How does it compare with Firefox and Chrome/Chromium?

I was wondering also how it's font rendering is? And also if it is compatible with all web sites like firefox and chrome seem to be...

I tried it in 10.04 and now in 10.10.
The last one works a lot better, it's noticeable faster.

Both in both instances I found it's impossible to save a picture by right clicking it.

Anyhow, why don't you just try it, it's easy enough to revert to the old version.

Odd, as I am saving images just fine.

Rekonq does sometimes seem slow to begin loading a page, but is definitely faster than Konqueror, and displays flash better as well

In Launchpad, however, submitting omments to bug reports produces an error sometimes.
Lack of spellcheck is giving me fits with my poor typing

Yet I use it as my main browser still, finding it very nice now in the last couple of releases

Thanks...i will give it a try...though i suspect i will probably want to stay with Chromium as that has become my favorite web browser...It is not only fast but good looking and easy to use...
