[SOLVED] Plymouth screwed up after video card move

I have an SLI system. I needed to test another motherboard, so I briefly took both cards out. When I put them back in, I must have put them in opposite spots than they were in before. Instead of getting the blue kubuntu login screen, I get get the "Ubuntu 10.04" in a text format with a quick message about 'dmesg' etc.

Digging through dmesg, I found the message that pops up during the ubuntu screen:

    Code:
    [ 9.413036] nForce2_smbus 0000:00:01.1: Error probing SMB2.
Anything I can do to fix it?

I have no idea but if I were you I'd google the error message nForce2_smbus 0000:00:01.1: Error probing SMB2.

      Hi...

I'm not trying to insult your intelligence here, but can you remember the proper order and if so, does that fix the problem?

heh no insult taken. Just being lazy and not wanting to open my case again! It would be really extreme if I reinstalled kubuntu!

@toad... I will start sniffing around.

Sounds like there's something wrong with the second card.
Originally as second card, it wasn't used much. Now after the swap with it being used as first card, there are parts of it used now which weren't used before, and these parts seem to be defective. Perhaps time for Rma.
