    Activate custom Network connection

    Hi,

i updated Kubuntu to the new 10.04 Version and can not connect to the internet since.

Problemseems to be that the system wont let me switch form eth0 to my customized networkconnection. In the previous release i could switch using the Network-Manager miniprogram. This doesn't work any longer :-(

    Anyone has any ideas?

    Thanks for your help!

Need to know more about this "customized" connection.

Just a new connection in the wired ethernet. IP, Gateway and Sub are not automatically determined by the system but manually chosen.

I haven't used the network manager default program much. I use WCID. but it sounds to me like it is preffering to use the eth0 connection. Is there a setting in network manager (as there is in WCID) where you can alter your connection preference?
