    KDE 4.5

I've added the backport (ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports) to package manager and did a refresh. All the 4.5 KDE updates are within the blocked update section. How do you get 4.5 to become active?

What version of Kubuntu are you using? What version of KDE are you using as well?

I got blocked updates via kpackage manager. Command line appears to be working. Thanks for the tip.

Don't use that kpackage manager stink, use Synaptic instead. (Someone really should make a sticky with this.) Install it like this:
                sudo apt-get install synaptic

Launch Synaptic, then go to Settings > Repositories, and on the "Other Software" tab click on "Add" and enter:
                ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports

Click on OK, then in the toolbar click on "Reload", "Mark all upgrades" and "Apply".
