enabling prelinking in KDE

I know that prelinking is problematic in Gnome, but is it beneficial for KDE? Do most programs/packages for KDE support prelinking?

I know that it was one of the recommendations for speeding up Kubuntu in Hoary and Breezy, but I can no longer find the page that recommended it I did the find the page that tells you how to do it: http://kudos.berlios.de/kf/kisimlar/...x.html#prelink
