Ok well i also wanted to update this with the other problem i was facing. when i close the lid to my laptop it will suspend to disk. but then when i open it again. i can't get the desktop back. just a blank screen (more on this later)
anyway the point is, is that i have had to do a force restart after it locks up on me. when i did that i got the 'Network Unmanaged' error when i goto connect to the network. this locks out ALL network device's when it happens.
i found this fix on the forums and figured the easier it is to find a fix the better.
open up the terminal and use
Then restart.
afterworlds the network should work. i wish the whole problem could be repaired but thats asking a bit much at this time.
