After switching to the recommended nVidia driver for my Graphics Adapter in order to improve performance for a couple of games I was trying to run under WINE all of my fonts appear larger. My Google-fu has revealed that other people have had similar problems with their DPI settings after changing to nVidia drivers and I have tried to solve the problem myself, but so far I have been unable to get very far because I unable to use the startx command and I get the error:
Code:
Fatal server error: Server is already active for display 0 If this server is no longer running, remove /tmp/.X0-lock and start again. Please consult the The X.Org Foundation support at [url]http://wiki.x.org[/url] for help. ddxSigGiveUp: Closing log
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to be able to continue using this driver because outside of this problem with the fonts I'm happy with it.
