when I try to boot the desktop cd
when it gets to the volume management part
I get this buffer error with i/o dm1 logical block [some numbers here] (that isn't exactly how the error appears, but something like that, I forgot >_< )
when that appears, it keeps going and going with that
I was wondering if it would be better to use the alternate install instead
I tried the ubuntu desktop cd before and it worked (I never installed it btw)
but I tried to see if ubuntu would load too
and I got the same thing that kubuntu did
so I'm wondering what I could do to fix that problem
I've been running kubuntu on virtual pc
and I'm really loving it
that's why I decided to just install it on my computer instead
