Problem: How do I use a .KTH file. I must be stupid I have spent a lot of time looking for a theme manager thats not on my version. The one that is loaded only lets you get themes off line, so you cant install your own. Help would be appreciated Step by Step I'm a Firefighter so things have to be easy

    Re: .kth

Not sure so don't quote me but I don't think .kth files work with kde4.x.x I believe it works only with kde3.x.x.

If you need a login theme (KDM) have a look here:
    http://kde-look.org/index.php?xcontentmode=41

    then go to:
system settings->advanced->login manager->give your password->design and you can either install a theme from HD or the internet.

Hope this helps and welcome to the party

      Re: .kth

I think Fintan is right: http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kdebas...kde-theme.html

I'm not a big "themer", but if I understand it correctly, .kth packages are "theme-manager" themes:

      http://kde-look.org/index.php?xcontentmode=8

On this same link, click on the "KDE 4.0" menu item on the left, to see actual KDE4 themes, which are here:

      http://kde-look.org/index.php?xcontentmode=9

This really isn't relevant to your question but....

I had a good laugh when I read that since I'm also a Firefighter
