Ohhhhh. Type it in terminal. Okay. I've already done that. everything is maxed out except for S/PDIF and S/PDIF D. Those have no volume and I can't get them to rise.

If you are right and your audio card doesn't work with Lucid, nobody will help you and your computer stays on one place, you can try a simple workaround. USB speakers have their own audio cards so if you buy some speakers (about 10$, for example Logitech S-150), you will have another (USB) audio card in your system. It works normally for all KDE applications, in VLC and maybe in Firefox is a problem, which I solved here for myself http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...opic=3112023.0
Kubuntu 16.04 on two computers and Kubuntu 17.04 on DELL Latitude 13

You may be right about your card not being supported. have you seen this ubuntu forums thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1319334&page=2) ? See in particular the last post as it seems the poster had some success in getting sound to work. It could require a bit of work though...
