[SOLVED] How do you uninstall kubuntu?

Well I switched from windows to kubuntu, and thought I'd give Ubuntu a try too and I have to say Ubuntu looks much cleaner and I like it a lot more than Kubuntu.

I installed Ubuntu using:

sudo apt-get ubuntu-desktop

So, I now how the kubuntu and ubuntu desktops installed, how to I remove the kubuntu side? Sorry for leaving you!

Somewhat similar problem.

When I upgraded my desktop from Kubuntu 9.10 to 10.4 my system somehow ended up with Xubuntu -likely hit the wrong option somewhere.

Now I would like to get back to Kubuntu or Ubuntu.

I tried sudo apt-get ubuntu-desktop and sudo apt-get kubuntu-desktop both of these commands come up with : Invalid operation ubuntu-desktop

Any ideas?

Because the command (from the console) is:

sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

or

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop

You left out the word install

You might want to use remove or purge if you want to get ride of xubuntu down the line

but make sure Kubuntu or Ubuntu desktops are installed and working first !!!
