creation of live CD

FRiends i am new to the kubuntu or linux
i downloaded the iso image of kubuntu from the site but on writing to the cd i am not getting a live cd could u please explain how to create a live cd from the .iso image downloaded from the site

Make sure you have the Desktop disk (which is a LiveCD) and not the Alternate disk (which is a straight install - NOT a LiveCD)
