Kubuntu is my first Linux version. I made a dedicated install on an old AMD I had in the garage and networked it to my Microsoft stuff. Now as I'm learning how to use the features included in Kubuntu, I realize I don't have any anti-virus/spyware/hacker protection. If anyone out there can recommend some good programs that don't take up a huge amount of space I would greatly appreciate it(I only got a 40G HD)

Is there any security out there?
Hi,
first of all welcome to the Linux world. Many users don't use any virus/spyware/firewall software because almost all probelms are specifically related to the windows operating system.
Try www.unbuntuguide.org to assist you with your first steps.
Have fun!

I've always prefered KUDOS ( http://kudos.berlios.de/ ) it's more newbie friendly (because it explains each step).
I didn't hace any anti-hacker/firewall installed for six-months now. You might want to try Firestarter or for more experienced users Guarddog.
I use clam-av for anti-virus.
