Ok, I know what my mistake was I hit ctrl-alt-f2 instead of alt-f2 and ended up at a command-line style screen asking for my log-in. I don't yet know enough to navigate too well in that manner and wound up doing a hard reboot to get back to the gui desktop. So my question is what command will get me back to my gui desktop. I am running Kubuntu 9.10 64 bit on a Sony Viao all in one.

The X server uses tty7 (Ctrl+Alt+F7).Windows no longer obstructs my view.
